Firing the Old to Make Room for the Real
Introduction
Healing isn’t always graceful. Sometimes it begins with an unraveling of relationships, and false beliefs create a false identity. The very beliefs we once thought were unshakable. In this powerful conversation, we explore what it really means to “heal forward.” It’s not just about finding peace or learning to cope. It’s about breaking cycles, redefining support, and reclaiming your place in your own life story.
The Loneliness of Healing Alone
Many believe healing requires a village. What if the village you once trusted disappears when you need it most? That’s exactly what happened here. When my world fell apart, support wasn’t available. But something deeper emerged: the realization that all the answers had to come from within.
“When I wanted other people involved, they weren’t there… and all the answers came from inside of me.”
This wasn’t a self-help fantasy. This was a woman rebuilding her brain, her identity, and her spirit piece by piece. “Healing Forward and discovering the Divine essence within.” Healing is a gift we give ourselves led through personal awareness and the sweet discovery of Divine guidance.
Getting Rid of What No Longer Serves You
To move forward, you can’t keep the same players on your life team. That means letting go, even when it’s your own family. “You’ve got to fire people. And sometimes they look like your family.” This is a hard truth. But healing is incompatible with environments that silence, diminish, or disrespect your soul. And often, those who thrived while you were down will leave when you rise; they can no longer feed off your brokenness.
Rebuilding From the Inside Out
Relearning how to identify emotions. Creating a new relationship with the body. Sitting with discomfort instead of outsourcing answers. This was the new language of healing I was creating from within. “I had to study sheets of paper to relearn what sadness, anger, or happiness even felt like.” The body speaks when the brain goes quiet. And by listening to it, without distraction, without external validation, you begin again.
The Power of Environment (and Saying No to Narcissists)
Healing doesn’t happen in bad soil. You can’t grow in toxicity, and the people who bring chaos, drama, and control must go. “That narcissistic relationship became a mirror, it showed me everything I would never tolerate again.” Whether it’s moving between states or exiting manipulative dynamics, creating a safe emotional ecosystem is vital.
There Is No ‘Easy’—But You Can Handle Hard Better
Peace isn’t a destination. Life doesn’t get easier. But you can handle hard work better. That’s what healing forward means. “If you’re waiting for life to get easy, you’ll be in that line forever.” This journey is one of self-awareness through Divine intervention, not perfection. And it starts by being radically honest, even when it’s painful.

Conclusion: You Are the Answer You’ve Been Waiting For
This conversation reminds us that healing isn’t about fixing yourself—it’s about finding yourself. It’s not about keeping everyone; it’s about protecting your peace. And it’s not about waiting to be saved. It’s about realizing you are your own savior.
